New L&H footage discovered
Some wonderful candid L&H footage turned up on YouTube.
It's behind-the-scenes footage shot by professional dancer George Mann in March of 1928, while the boys were on location, shooting 'Should Married Men Go Home?' with Edgar Kennedy, Viola Richard, Edna Marion and giant John Aasen. There are a few shots in this silent home movie which correspond to scenes in the finished film, so Mr. Mann must have been standing next to the official cameraman at the time. Everything else is candid footage of the boys clowning: all of it so very funny! Mr. Mann also shot home footage of other comedy stars such as The Three Stooges and W.C. Fields, which were put online earlier. Makes you wonder what else is out there, waiting to be rediscovered.
