Laurel and Hardy Matinee in Antwerp
Elckerlyc Theater (www.elckerlyc.be) in Antwerp will organise, with the cooperation of the Me and my Pal Tent of Belgium, a true Laurel and Hardy film matinee on December 6th, 2014.
The concept of this matinee is that a number of FFP’s (Famous Flemish People) will be asked what their favourite Laurel and Hardy film is and they will announce this in a video message along with the reason of their choice and a little explanation on what Laurel and Hardy means to them. After their message the particular film will be shown. If possible, the FFP’s will also be present in person. The matinee will consist of three shorts and after intermission a feature. Actor Stani Crets and film director Jan Verheyen have already promised to collaborate
The film programme is not yet known but with films of Laurel and Hardy it is altogether difficult to put together a bad programme.
People who would like to sell L&H memorabilia will be given the opportunity to set up a dealer’s table.
The show will start at 2.30 pm, doors will open at 1.30 pm. The entrance fee will be
€ 12.50, including a free drink. Members of the Me and my Pal Tent of Belgium will have a € 2.50 discount. Ticket sale will probably start at the end of August.
The Elckerlyc Theater is located at Frankrijklei 85-87 in Antwerp which is about a 10 minute walk from the Central Station.
More information will follow in the next few weeks. So, please consult the websites of the theater and of the Me and my Pal Tent (www.meandmypal.be) on a regular base.
As Grand Sheik, I hereby would launch a warm appeal to all Sons to attend this unique event numerously with family and friends.
